  • The Good Artist

Brynne Gluch, Benjamin Lawal, Kari Stageberg, Bobooks Illustrators

Paperback (Independently published, Aug. 2, 2020)
Trey is a 4 year old boy who is curious why he looks different from the people in his family. Read along to see how he and his family straigten out his "noodle-y" thoughts and discover how they really aren't that different after all!Inspired by a real-life family conversation about race and adoption, The Good Artist was written as a gift for my son as a birthday present. I wanted to help him remember the way God reassured his heart when he didn't feel like he belonged in our family. However, it became clear during the historic civil unrest in America during the summer of 2020 that this issue is affecting more than our family. Several conversations helped me realize it is true for most every parent that when kids ask tough questions about life, it can be tough to come up with a response. I became compelled to share this story, not as an expert on race relations, but as a prompt to get the conversation going within other families. I hope this book helpshelps us as parents to equip the next generation to build a world that is governed not just by equality, but unity.
  • Arthur the Artist

    Anita Hager

language (Be the magic you are, Aug. 31, 2016)
A perfect tale for every child who adores animals and loves nature. Arthur is a young lion who lives in thejungle together with his mother and father. This lion is very different from all the other lions in the jungle– he loves to paint. While the other lions of his age go out hunting, he prefers to stay home and create marvelous paintings on his easel. But the rest of the pride didn’t see Arthur’s talent as a blessing. Instead, it was more like a thorn in their flesh. All of Arthur’s friends made fun of him. Even his parents turnedagainst him. They thought he was a weak lion because he didn’t always behave according to the lion’s code of conduct. Luckily, he had one true friend – Lilly the antelope. She stood by his side through thick and thin and always encouraged him to paint with all his heart. Just like Arthur, we sometimes have to rise above ourtraditions and follow our hearts. Being the magic you are!Permafree book
